Delivery, Cancellation and Returns

This document outlines the delivery policies and procedures for Barker and Geary Ltd.

 

1.      Delivery Methods and Timeframes:

Delivery is kerbside drop only

Standard Delivery (approx. 3 working days)

Delivery times may be delayed due to fraud screening, and if ordered after 10 am, delivery starts from the next working day.

2.      Access Restrictions

Please inform us in advance of any access restrictions at your delivery location. This includes narrow streets, parking limitations, or farm tracks. Failure to do so may result in a failed delivery and additional re-delivery charges.

3.      Delivery Process

To minimize delivery costs, goods will be manually offloaded from the delivery vehicle. We require someone on-site who can sign for the delivery and assist with the offloading. For large items, such as timber or concrete, extra hands may be needed. Please note that, as with most building material deliveries, the delivery obligation ends at the kerbside.

4.      Delivery Charges:

Calculated automatically during checkout based on the delivery method, location, and size/weight of products.

3. Receipt and Signature:

A signature is required upon delivery., If delivery fails, you will receive instructions for collection with a specified time limit.

4. Delivery Problems:

If delivery fails due to the customers fault (e.g., incorrect address or no one to accept delivery), re-delivery may incur charges.

Timed Delivery Policy:

Only available through communication with a Barker and Geary Ltd. Team member.

If unable to offer Timed Delivery, you will be notified, and an alternative may be offered.

Issues Arising:

Customers must notify Barker and Geary Ltd. if there are issues.

Returns Policy
We do not accept returns on products that have been made to order or bespoke. For items that are not custom-made, you may return them for a full refund at your expense. You must notify us of your intention to return items within 14 days of purchase. The items must be returned within 14 days of your notification. Once we receive the returned items and confirm they are suitable for resale, we will process your refund.

Cancellation Rights
You have a statutory right to cancel orders placed online or over the phone. This right lasts from the time of payment until 14 days after you receive your products. If your order consists of multiple items, the 14-day period begins from the date you receive the last product in the order.

After notifying us of your cancellation, you have 14 days to return the items. You are responsible for the cost of returning cancelled products.

If items are faulty upon arrival, please inform us at the time of cancellation.

Cancellation rights do not apply to products made to order or bespoke/custom products.

Cancellation Refund

Once we receive the cancelled goods, you will receive a full refund within 14 days. This will also include a refund for the basic delivery cost.

All products must be returned in the same condition as when they were received. If the product is damaged upon return, we reserve the right to make a deduction from the refund for any loss of value to the returned products.


Returning Unwanted Goods

Unwanted goods can be returned within 14 days of receipt, except for products made to order, which cannot be returned.

You are responsible for covering the costs of returning any unwanted products. Items must be returned in their original packaging.

Once we receive the returned items, we will process your refund within 14 days. The refund will include the basic delivery cost.

If the products are returned damaged or their value has been reduced while in your care, we reserve the right to make a deduction from the refund.


Returning Faulty Goods

If you receive faulty goods, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the product. We can offer a refund or exchange only if the item is faulty on delivery.

We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products bought as seen (i.e., if you knew they were faulty when purchased) or if the product has been damaged by you or someone else attempting to repair or alter it.

Once you notify us of a faulty product, you have 7 days to return it. Once we have received the faulty product, we will issue your refund within 14 days.

Arranging Collection for Exchange of Faulty Goods
